BLADE SPECIFICATIONS and DESIGNS

Pictured above are my standard blade shapes.
The prices quoted for each are for a fully finished knife made to the specification stated below. Each price includes a choice of fast grown Mahogany, Beech or European oak as handle material. Of course you can add any of the options on this page to your knife to create your own personnel knife.

BLADE A: The world famous RM bushcraft knife. Standard specifications 11cm handle, 11cm blade, 4mm thickness AiSi 01 carbon tool steel. 30 degree flat grind, two 6mm plain handle pins, 8mm lanyard eye, differentially heat treated.
£155, basic complete knife. Also available as a kit.

BLADE B: Evo, developed through extensive use of the RM bushcraft knife. Standard specifications 11cm handle, 12cm blade (11cm cutting edge), 5mm thickness AiSi 01carbon tool steel. 27.5 degree flat grind, tapered tang to 1mm, two third tapered blade to 3mm, three loveless type handle fixings, 8mm lanyard eye, differentially heat treated.
£245, basic complete knife. Not available as a kit.

BLADE C: Evo II (new specification), developed through extensive use of the RM bushcraft knife and the swc Evo 1. Standard specifications 11cm handle, 11.5cm blade (10.5cm cutting edge), 5mm thickness AiSi 01 carbon tool steel, 27.5 degree micro bevel on concave bevels,flat sides, tapered tang to 1mm, full tapered blade to 3mm, three loveless type handle fixings, 8mm lanyard eye, differentially heat treated.
£295, basic complete knife. Not available as a kit.


BLADE D: A shrunken version of the RM bushcraft knife, ideal for a pack or pouch. Standard specifications 102mm handle, 76mm blade, 4mm thickness AiSi 01 carbon tool steel, 30 degree flat grind, two 6mm plain pins, 8mm lanyard eye, differentially heat treated.
£145, basic complete knife. Also available as a kit.

BLADE E: Achondroplasia, developed along side the Evo II, designed as a small but highly functional neck knife, the Achondroplasia and the Evo II make an awesome set. Standard specifications 63mm blade, 70mm handle, 3mm thickness AiSi 01 carbon tool steel, 27.5 degree hollow grind, two loveless type handle fixings, 6mm lanyard eye, heat treated.
£145, basic complete knife. Also available as a kit.

The above specifications are the standard for the blanks shown in the picture, but of course nothing is set in stone. If there is a particular design you like, but would like to change some details that's no problem. All my blades are made to order so if you want your knifes blade to be longer, shorter, thicker or wider that's ok, just email me your requirements and ill send you a quote. You can even design your own blade from scratch, ill offer all the advise i can to help you undertake any knife project. If you can think of it, it can be made.

TAPERED TANGS and HANDLE LINERS

TAPER TANG, £25... Tapering the knifes tang gives the knife a wonderful balanced feel and a real air of quality...Tangs are fully tapered along the whole length of the handle down to 1mm. If you require a greater or lesser taper thats no problem just specify when ordering your knife.

HANDLE LINERS, FIBRE £17 (fitted), WOOD £10 (fitted)... Handle liners improve the integrity of the bond between handle scales and tang whilst adding a great look, available in various colours

ETCHING

ACID ETCHING, ELECTROCHEMICAL ETCHING and ENGRAVING...blades can be marked with your name or wording of your choice, company logos or designs, this is a great way to personalise your knife and a good theft deterant.
For acid etching we use Ferric Chloride and an acid resistant coating to create your image. The electrochemical etching is done with an electronic etching machine and electrolyte.
Price dependent on etch required. Basic lettering starts at £15 for upto 20 characters.
